Thank you Anastasia.  Was that information you gave us not the coolest?!
I love knowing these words in Greek especially above all other languages,
because in n as far as we know so far... the origin of the domestication
of ferrets, as you know, is in that area.  So it would be so neato (is it
still cool to say "neato?) to name a ferret after one of these words. :)
 
I still picture little Egyptian ferret mummies walking about the pyramids
(snicker), so that old idea is not out of my head.  It's such a funny
visual, that I hope that we do find evidence of it some day.  But
meanwhile the Greek-Roman history of ferret domestication is what we
know.
