By definition "normal" only means "average"; of course, among the ferret
community those who fit the ferret-family norm are "normal", but could you
imagine how down-right BORING any individual who was "normal" for society
as a whole would be? Obviously, FML "normal" is the best "normal"! I
think DH's post confirms that!!!!!!!!!

Thank you SO much to Bill for all his work for us with this wonderful forum
and to Chris Lewis for starting it (The FML is getting close to issue
3,000, with almost 3,100 members, and around a dozen years of serving
ferrets), to all the shelter operators who together save thousands of
ferrets every year, to the people who get their ferrets from shelters, to
the people who foster shelter ferrets, to the people who work to improve
legislation for ferrets, to the people who educate others, to the people
who improve medical care for ferrets, to the people who increase public
acceptance of ferrets, to the people who improve conditions at breeding
locations of any size, to the people who go after abusers, and most of all
to the ferrets themselves for laughter and loving tears and furry kisses
with whiskers up our nostrils.

who recalls years ago when an EPA expert on either Science Friday or one
of the NPR news shows mentioned that the average cleaning cupboard would
classify as a toxic waste site if size were eliminated as a consideration,
and who is still trying to get a distant relative (who is also garishly
clean so is around a lot of cleaning products every day, too) to actually
vent and use protection when using oil paints or making stained glass
