There are great links to lists of recommended vets for ferrets in the
Critical references at
http://www.ferretcongress.org;
each one somewhat different from the rest so check them all as a great
way to continue looking.  Also, check the SOS shelter list to see if
there are vets shelters up there use.  Additionally, there is a list in
the latest "Ferrets Annual".
 
Compounding pharmacists are listed in the Reference Shelf section of
the Ferret Health List. Try
http://www.smartgroups.com/vault/ferrethealth/ReferenceShelf/comp_pharm.html
but if that doesn't work go to
http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/ferrethealth
then open the files, then open "Reference Shelf" and then open the
compounding pharmacist file.  You'll find some other useful files in
there, BTW, like the shelter list mentioned above.  For those who do not
have a local compounding pharmacy which handles ferret needs there are
ones which mail such as Belvidiere in NJ.
