In honor of my five who have crossed the bridge and to the many others
that are there as well.

Dream

I wondered what you dreamt about my little one
Was it treats, play or some other fun?

Close to your bed I would creep
To listen to you breath, to watch you sleep

You brought so much joy into my heart
It almost broke when you had to part

You crossed the bridge and left me behind
But you are forever here in my heart and mind

At the end of the bridge is a bell
Please ring it three times and ring it well

This will let all those that care
Know that my little one is safely there

I love you and miss you this is true
When you left I was so very blue

But I know that you are suffering is no longer
You are healthy, happy and so much younger

And you are happy with all the others
So many sisters, so many brothers

I know you are the gentle wind that blows
I know you are the glint upon the snow

I see you in the birds in flight
I see you as the soft stars of night

Good-bye my little one, sing me your song
Make it sweet, make it long

I miss you
Dad
