Someone wrote about ferrets and heights -

Noodle isnt scared of heights, period. He'll jump from anywhere to
anywhere. Whoosh!

Potpie isnt scared of heights, because she knows she can climb down
anything. however, she's wary of new heights, like balconies, and generally
just peers over the edge before determining that the ground's too far away.
She'll dive happily from my shoulders, knowing that i'll squeak and catch
her (long practice).

Friday's terrified of even jumping off a couch. If you pick her up and put
her atop something, she gets very tense.

They've got bad eyesight, and i assume that translates into bad depth
perception. i'd be leery of jumping to a surface i couldnt see in focus..
