The September-October 1996 issue of Animal Sheltering magazine, an official
publication of the HSUS, features on page 26 a page-length and highly
favorable review of Deborah Jeans' "Practical Guide to Ferret Care."
 
The review, a first for any HSUS publication, appears to be a significant
step by the Humane Society of the United States toward re-educating its
shelter community to the need to take ferrets humanely into account.
