This is Susie Lee of The Ferret And Dove Sanctuary, Inc.  And we have a
special request for everyone to help us out with, Especially all those of
you along the Gulf Coast area of the southern United States.  We have, in
house, 54 ferrets of whom 17 are adoptable, but these latest critters
which have been "dumped" on us (because we were all there was available
and no innocent creature deserves to die just for existing, that's why
we're NO-Kill) are straining our capacity to care for all of them rather
seriously.  So here goes:...
 
Emergency adoptions! :Very LOW (or No) fee for anyone with knowledge of
how to care for Chinchillas; we have very recently taken in 9 chinchillas
from a woman who was evicted from her home and the county shelter and
humane society wouldn't take them except to kill them for a fee.  (that
isn't right, as you can see, they're healthy and gentle)  Here are two
photos of two of them.  They're brown, black, one's white with "black
trimmings", one albino, and two are chinchilla-silver.  ANYONE you might
know of who may be interested in takeing in one or more of these
long-lived, quiet and gentle little creatures, Please contact us ASAP...
