Howdy,

Here's one of those you-can-never-be-too-safe tips. My apartment is
developing an ant problem and as a solution I bought some of those ant bait
traps. They're a little plastic thingies with ant poison inside that the
ants are supposed to haul back to their houses and it kills them all. I was
about to throw the packaging, when I though "Hey, maybe I should keep this
cuz it lists the active ingredients." That way if one of the ferrets should
get into it and you have to rush to the vet or call poison control, you will
have the necessary info readily available. (No I don't put the ant traps
down with the ferrets. I don't even put them in the same room as the
ferrets. But we all know that there is no such thing as ferret proofed and
if a ferret wants to get somewhere, he will.) This would probably be a good
idea for any other poison-type stuff you have around.

Actually the whole ant trap thing was a wasted effort. They didn't work.
Oh well, I'm resigned to living with the ants and treating them like another
pet. Right now I'm working on litter box training them. You wouldn't
believe how hard it is to find Totally Ant food. The worst part was naming
them all. Hector, Gertrude, Bob, Lucy, Raymond, Defy, Depend, Zeke, Clyde,
Ralph, Defend, Rory, Elef, Herkimer, Comply, Fred, Suzy, Cly, Cecil,
Decad...............

May your ants be forever named,

PS: Please realize that last paragraph was a joke. I don't want to be
inundated with ant control remedies.
