Digging Problem.

I have 2 little girl ferrets.  Taz is 3 and Squeeker is 2.  We have recently
moved into a new home with all new furniture.  Taz and Squeeker have always
roamed the entire house while we are home except at night.  Well they have
decided to tear up my new sofas.  They dig holes in them.  Any suggestions?
They have never done this before.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
