Lisa honey, your ferret really doesn't 'know' not to get under the
cabinets. Remember that song about 'Girl's Just Wanta Have Fun'? Well
'under there' is a fun place, and fun is what ferrets are all about.

Yes, it's frustrating, we all understand that one! I have ferrets that
climb my sweats while I'm trying to clean up their room. Over and over
and over, I have to pull the ferret off and put him/her back on the floor.
Sometimes I have 3 doing this. But it's not one of the things in life you
want to be getting 'angry' over. Mainly because it won't do any good.
You can convey to human family members that you are 'really angry' and
they'd best not push any more of your buttons, but with ferrets it just
doesn't work.

Ferrets are very determined. Someone (probably a number of someones) said
we can't change the ferret's behavior, we can only change our own. So how
about barricaiding her out of the kitchen? But if that isn't possible, you
do need to lay down on the floor and look carefully at all the cabinetry
bases in case there are more spaces down there.

I hope that expressing your feelings last night helped, and that you'll be
able to work out a safe solution for both of you. And please don't think
I'm being judgemental. My teen daughter (then) once said to me when I was
murderously mad at the cat for eating all my baby pigeons - "Mom, you're
trying to make her think like a people, but she can only think like a cat".
I've tried to keep that in mind since then!
