I live on Vancouver Island, we also noticed a different in our ferrets
before it hit.  they were very agaited, like they knew something was going
to happen and also we had one on the west side of the island around 11 pm
and they woke up too, also I was sleeping and had ear plugs in and I heard
the rumble and Jim said I screamed, which I didn't remember doing.  So they
do know or feel when something is going to happen.
