Read Shara's post on sand being too dusty.

I gues there is always someone who disbelieves in whatever, I have been the
one who really raves about the sandboxes.

I do have the sand a little damp but I still, even dry do not see it as
dusty, too heavy if it is good sand. BUT I have seen someone suggest rice
and I am going to try it cause it won't track out of the box as easily and
putting it into a kinda sealed box where they go in a hold and have fun and
come out (only problem, I loveeeeeeeee watching them in it they are so
cute)

I certainly though would not use something that they mentally can link with
litter, like newspaper or paper like litter. Their little minds can click
in on something like that to where they are playing in their litter boxes
and pooping into their playbox. Mine already have enough mental problems.

Sam's here I come, need bigggggggg bag of rice.

P.s: Took Joy and Dizzy back into the vet to get Joy's stitches out, she
has lost 3 oz of the 4 she gained last month - she has picked up her own
exercise, chasing down the girls to whip up on and the boys to groom and
clean and fuss over. Maybe I won't have to take her on long walks to
control her weight, she even shashays like a ferret now instead of
slithering along. Having your hormones in an uproar is a good thing.

Ajax: LET ME OUTTA HERE, Uncle Dizzy, help me, do something, she's

Dizzy: Sorry, Ajax, when she is tending to you, she leaves me alone
Joy: Now Ajax, you mustn't jump up and down in the hammock like that
