I have to chuckle.  Although I have never likened my babies to the
firelizards in Anne McCaffrey's Pern books, old time readers may recall
that oft times I have said that having a ferret grab your heart is like
'impressing a dragon'.  One look into their eyes and you are forever bonded
to that little critter.
 
(Now if only I could get them to do simple tasks, like delivering
messages.......................)
 
Sadly, no Pern books are planned in the immediate future by Ms. McCaffrey.
