Hi all!  1st post - Interesting question - have any of you heard of any
metabolic disorders that can affect ferrets?  I recently lost a 3 1/2 year
old female MF ferret whose most obvious and bizzare symptom was large fat
deposits around her lymph nodes.  Vet and I believe it had roots in
genetics, and since she was a MF, I am figuring that others have got to
be experiencing the same thing... We believe she may have had fatty liver
disorder, but I have not been able to find ANYTHING on this in ferrets...
(and before you all ask, yes, she received extensive and very expensive
veterinarian care throughout...there really was just nothing to be done...)
