For the HELP, HELP, HELP,  Sounds like you need Dr. Kawaski in VA.
Nancy Hartman is on this list and she will most probably answer
you - please listen to her.  How far are you from Dr. Kawaski in VA?
Your ferret definitely needs immediate care and if your vet calls
Dr. Kawaski he will help in any way he can.  Hang in there someone
will get back to you.  If you are in desperate straits, call me
