Mary, the FML represents at least 10,000 ferrets -- with the actual number
probabably being FAR higher because of the large numbers of shelters on the
list.  It's also an ideal way to get very useful medical information.  Now,
do maybe 10 ferrets each week (with many of them repeat individuals with
long term problems for which the owners are trying to stay on the cutting
edge) STILL sound like many ferrets when you know how many are represented?
If even only ONE percent were mentioned that would be 100 ferrets, instead
it's about one tenth of one percent each week mentioned!  What percentage of
the people at your work or school are sick in any week?
