This is the information I give my clients who get a JBF kit (or adult)
ferret from me. I also give out my recommendations on food, litter and
some good ferret vets.

Treats: The best choice for treats for your ferret are meat based treats.
Your ferret has been eating meat since he was 3-4 weeks old. Cooked
chicken, turkey and steak are great treats. Never give raw meat as a
treat. Never give your ferret any fruits (fresh or dried) or high
carb-sugary treats such as raisins, cheerios, 8-in-1 Yoggies, or anything
banana-raisin flavored. If you do, count on your ferret coming down
with insulinoma. Ferretone and Ferretvite should be used in strict
moderation. Once or twice a week only! Too much of either of these can
cause problems.

Treat Choices: Cooked Chicken, Turkey, Steak; 8-in-1 Chicken Treats;
Dingo Jerky Treats; Bandits Chicken or Liver Treats; Totally Ferret
Treats; Ferret Bites; Brown's Chicken Jerky Treats; Cheweasels;
Ferretvite and Ferretone
