I was concerned about the amount of charge used for the 'correction', the
info says it's about the strength of a static charge, so it should be safe
for fuzzies.
 
the newer models may indeed be safe, but try it out against your neck just
to be sure.  several years i tried one before i'd let my dog wear it and the
thing HURT!!!  and that was on a human-size neck.  admittedly, dogs have a
lot of fur to dissapate some of the charge, but ferts don't.  so check it on
the most tender part of your neck.
