Greetings,

We've been lurking here for about a month or two and it looks like we're
here to stay so I thought I'd better introduce us before the fuzzmonsters
took over the computer again.

But first, my condolences to Troy Lynn for the loss of Mugsy. Troy Lynn, we
never met in person (only spoke on the phone) so you probably don't remember
me but when I was living in Kansas you got me in touch with a couple who had
to give up their 2 wonderful ferrets and we've been a happy family ever
since.

So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought this would be a good way to
introduce ourselves and thank someone for making us ferret junkies. We've
been moving this week to a bigger apartment (separate bedroom for the
nonhumans) so I just caught up on 3 days of FML and decided it was time to
write.

Finally, here we are:
Hollie (human)-zookeeper by day, ferret servant by night
Tony (human)-still stuck in Kansas (only a few more weeks)
Kato (dog)-"I was named after the Bruce Lee character, not O.J.'s buddy, OK!"
Donald (ferret)-"You said we'd have our own room, there's a dog in here!"
Daisy (ferret)-"what's this button d-"

Now in respose to the Anonymous Bear on 27 Nov., I'm in a similar situation
(my landlord allows me to keep my 50 lb. dog but not 2 innocent ferrets,
and I have a long story too). Mine travel well in a small dog carrier, so I
can take them with me or to a friend's place. In an emergency, this can
also be hidden in a closet or bathtub. I empty toys, litterbox, etc. from
the cage and make it look like I don't use it anymore and hide the food,
ferretone, and ferret books. I always leave my dog with free roam of the
house to prevent any surprise visits while I'm not at home. Stay on good
terms with your neighbors if they know, as well. Feel free to email me for
more details and good luck.

Thanks, dooks, and happy holidays,
Hollie, Kato, Donald, & Daisy
