Hi,

The "feather" law is not local. It is a federal law. It is also not
called the "feather" law, but is the Migratory Bird Treaty Law (16 U.S.C.
[section] 703-712, July 3, 1918, as amended 1936, 1960, 1968, 1969, 1974,
1978, 1986 and 198).

Some good websites are:
http://ipl.unm.edu/cwl/fedbook/mbta.html (spells out the law in English)

http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode16/
usc_sup_01_16_10_7_20_II.html
(the actual text of the law, as written - in Legalese)

http://www.hawkwatch.org/Education/raptor_issues.php?
id_name=hunting_raptors
(much simplified description of the law).

I hope this all helps!

Kim
