Jillie, I thinks that is a hooman behavior thingy that they can not help.
It goes back to prehistorical times when there was no combs for da hooman
kids, so the moms had to do that.  Just looks out, cause the cavemen used
to use saliva to get the parts to stay.
 
But you can get em back though.  My daddy grooms me excessively, so I jus
groom em back to annoy him.  I lick all da arm hairs in the same
direction so dey aren't wild and unruly.
