Greetings all! I have a question for any and all who can help. My boys,
Thunder & Lightning, both had a day of diarrhea which cleared up almost
immediately. I figured it was stress related, I mean, they had a rough
day the day I brought them home. First Mindy had to pick them up, drive
4 hours to meet me, then another 4 hours to their new home. Eight hours
in a car would be enough to knock my equilibrium off. But I'm rambling...
I noticed that the runny poops are back! Kinda slimy and dark green (my
first thought was "OH ****! ECE!).

I started watching them closely, they are still eating and drinking (and
begging for treats) normally, but don't seem to have any energy. Pea Pie
apparently hasn't been affected. I can't get them to the vet until
Thursday (seems my vet is out of town, and the others send all ferrets to
him...). I gave them both a VERY small dose of children's Kaopectate,
which seems to have helped, and have been supplementing their kibble with
chicken baby food. Is there anything else I can do until their
appointment? Pea Pie has been moved to another room completely, and still
shows no sign of catching whatever the boys have. I haven't been around
any other ferrets (except to look since they are in aquariums!!!) and can't
come up with any other reason for the green poops besides ECE, but don't
know where they could have come into contact with it. AAARRRGGH! I hate
having to wait. Any and all advice is welcome!
