I personally would not recommend a beagle with ferrets. Think what
beagles were bred for... I have a pair of ferrets someone gave up
when they got a beagle pup. One had quite a bite on his neck. The
ferrets, in spite of their awful filthy cage and no decent bedding were
wonderfully sweet and moved right in my my others. The neck bite healed.
A Laborador is a great dog. We had two of them for a while and there was
little problem except when a fert thought a paw was something to
investigate.
