My cards will be in he mail this week also.  I was plagued with spyware
on my computer and a problem with my printer.  I got the wrong cartridge,
and had two migraines, but, I'm still trucking.
 
The good news is - I'm already for Mothers Day.  Will have my stuff out
on time.  HAHAHA
 
On another note -
 
We had a BIG snow storm, 20 inches of wet, heavy snow, here last month.
I was snowed in for a weekend.  Two on my girls began scratching their
ears, one was rubbing her neck (behind her ear) on the edge on her litter
pan.  This all happens as soon as travel becomes impossible.
 
Earmites, and what to do now.  I read up on the little fellows and found
out they breathe through gills on their sides.
 
SOOOO, I heated some extra virgin, first cold pressed olive oil to luke
warm, and swabbed out their ears.  I did this twice a day, and by Tuesday
morning when I finally got my car shoveled out, after I got the LONG
drive plowed and the snow bank from the state down, there were no signs
of mites.  The wax was gone, the scratch was gone, everyone was happy.
In fact, the scratching stopped after the first treatment.  I treated
them again, twice a day, for several days, and still no symptoms.
 
I have no medical experience, but just thought I'd pass that along.
Maybe as a preventative when you clean ears.  It is my understanding the
oil seals the gills of the mite to its sides and it can't breathe.  Now I
do this once in a while as a preventative.  If there were any eggs, they
surely would have hatched by now.  Maybe they did and they are gone too.
