Hi all,
Am trying to get rested after a 10 hour drive up to Baltimore, a day at the
show itself, and a 9 hour drive back home ( all in the space of three days).
First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to say to Fran, Wanda,
and Diane--good job!. These ladies and others worked very hard in
preparation for the show and it showed in the final result. I thoroughly
enjoyed myself and getting to be with so many ferret people was a real
pleasure. I am convinced that ferret people have got to be the most special
people on the face of the earth. The ones that I have met and conversed
with, whether in person, over the phone or through the internet, are all
friendly and helpful and the bottom line is "what is best for the ferrets"

I took two of my boys with me. They didn't enjoy the experience nearly as
well as I did, in fact, they didn't like it at all! I can't picture myself
ever doing this to my "kids" again. I will go and enjoy the show and allow
my "babies" to remain stress free at home. Rusty, my wildchild who is not
afraid of anything, was shaking and the little pads of his feet were wet he
was so stressed. Harley, Mr Laidback, was behaving as Rusty does on a
normal day.

I took two babies up and brought four babies home! I adopted a one year old
male from Fran and purchased a 12 week old female from Teachers Pet
Ferretry. The little girl is the niece to my largest male, Merlin. AC has
already proven himself to be a "Houdini". I quarantined the four so that if
any nasty virus was picked up, the others would have a better chance of not
contracting it.

As I walked through my kitchen I happened to notice that AC was "dancing" on
top of his cage! He was also laughing at me! I placed him back into his
cage and before I could walk to the other side of the kitchen, he was back
out! The little rascal had learned how to pop the door open. I finally
ended up switching him to my show cage and he began to look at all the
corners and sides as if to say, "I can get out of this, I know I can". I
guess we will have to wait and see if he accomplishes his goal.

Condolences to those who have lost a loved one and prayers and best wishes
for those who are ill or have little ones who are ill.

For the ferrets

Margaret Ann and her babies: Princess, Gismo, Harley, Scooter, Coco,
Merlin, Rusty, Fancy, Daisy. the new kids: AC (aka Houdini) and , as yet,
un-named (she will earn her name) and of course Scott (where are you
planning on putting all of these young-uns?)
