I might say that too, but given that alternate methods are available part
of the time, I'd prefer to take the extra time and effort to use them.

>But is that one percent .. like .. dog ...when we even point the clippers

Possibly, but the jerk back, limp, and instantly learning to fear the
clipper for life isn't part of the pom's "act" is it ?

We all know what actors ferrets are, especially when they can convince us
they've used the potty (but just made the motions) to get out sooner :)

>We need perspective on the real amount of pain as well.

I'm OK with my perspective on that, just not very quantitative.

I've chosen on the other hand to place my trust in my vet of 20 years,
Thomas P. Nelson, who so far has NEVER led me wrong, and to distrust the
opinions of distant unknown vets with their own agenda and profit issues
and stuff to sell to vets who wanna make a profit.

Tom KNOWS up front that I'll gladly pay him more money to do the [absolute]
best thing for a ferret and will take the time to participate in the
program.

Yes, I'll clip a nail too, when the alternatives are exhausted but I'll
never chose that first. Therein lies my message.

If I had hundreds of ferrets to test, and money was an issue, I could
reconsider, grudgingly.

good cheer,
Bob
