Nancy-

I may not know you but I've been keeping up with the story of your sister and
family since you informed all of us. I just wanted to let you know (as I'm
sure a lot of the members of this list feel) that you have my support and
prayers. I hadn't read an update lately and hoped that that was a good sign.
I knew you would fill us in when you had the time. I also feel that there is
no reason for you to apologize for discussing such an event when you know so
many members. I would have to question the humanity of anyone who would
complain.

[Like I said, anybody complaining has to get by me first.]

Everyone-

Ferret topic: I have an albino ferret who, due to my busy schedule, does not
get a bath as often as I would like. A couple of bath questions: (1) is there
any special stuff I should use to keep a white ferret clean (especially his
tail which is hardly white even after a bath). I'm using Johnson's baby
shampoo. (2) how careful do I have to be about getting his face and ears
wet? Can they get wet but just not any shampoo on them? (3) does anyone know
the quickest way to dry off a ferret? Being white, I really don't want to
have to wait all winter for warm weather. Currently I TRY to hold on to him
wrapped in a dry towel and gently rub him with it while he madly uses his
tongue. Last time it worked pretty well, but...any suggestions?

[Why gently? They aren't that fragile. And when you put him down, just
leave a towel nearby. They'll finish themselves off. Others will give
you the info on a shampoo that keeps white ferrets white...]
