Several years ago I had a ferret, Nyet, that developed a tumor in the
anal gland area. He was a Marshall farms ferret and it was thought that
he had an incomplete gland removal. He had the tumor surgically
removed but it reoccurred in about 6 months. He then had a course of
chemotherapy, I'm not sure what they used but I believe that it was a
gas. This gave him about another 3 months. I take seriously any anal
gland problems. A side note: I have seen similar problems in women who
had bartholin gland infections that became cancerous if left untreated.

Let's all keep our bottoms clean? <+;-)
