So many people make eggnog that many markets which carry PASTEURIZED
eggs now have them on sale. That allowed me to make runny fried eggs
that I knew would be bacteria-free and therefore safe for the Pivot and
for me. Pivot was vibrating so fast she was practically humming while
lapping up her runny yolk and butter (something I have not had in ages
and ages so this is a special treat). Later I will have to try to
introduce the others. Steve plans to make himself some cookie batter
that is safe with some of them and he also uses them to make ice cream.
This is much easier than pasteurizing them himself.

So, in your markets which carry pasteurized eggs keep your eyes open.
Steve found them from Davidson's Safest Choice on an unannounced sale
at Kings today. The boxes will say they are pasteurized and those eggs
tend to carry a stamped P on them. Davidson's has a store locator and
some others which provide these also might: http://www.safeeggs.com/
and they list -- a loooooooong list -- of stores that carry them
including major and common chains like Safeway, King Kullen, Whole
Foods, Acme, Seven-Eleven, Foodtown, etc. and if you put in a zip code
it does not recognize well it will put up that store list to see if
you scroll down. I don't see Kings listed but the larger Kings have
them for those in the tristate area or in PA near the NJ border.

So, right now Pivot and I say, "YUM!" "TREAT!"
