We have a matter of extreme urgency, that needs thought from each of you.

Several months ago a large group of Swedish Angora (mostly, some short
haired) ferrets were brought into the US through Texas. They were split up,
via brokers, some ending up in Seattle, some here to Portland, OR, and some
to Kansas.

It is absolutly imparative that EVERYONE who has a female ferret from this
group, get her to a QUALIFIED vet, IMMEDIATELY.

These females were incorrectly, only partially spayed. They still have
overies, they WILL go into heat, and they will and ARE dying.

Will everyone who knows of someone who adopted/purchased one of these
ferrets, male or female, please contact me. We need to account for each of
these ferrets. It is especially the ferrets who went into the Seattle
market we are concerned about. The Oregon and Kansas ferrets were handled
by people aware of the situation and are on top of it. But at this time, we
want to account for EVERY ferret.

So please, if you have one of these little girls, (or boys) you know of
someone who does, or of a pet store/other source who handled them, send me
contact information.

But most important, these girls need immediate surgery to save their lives.
