Hi,

I have what may be a dumb question, but.....

I have been sick with an URI since mid-September. It is mostly just cold
symptoms in me.

We got our 3rd ferret (MF 6 1/2 wk old kit) from a pet store about 2 weeks
ago. What I am concerned about is:

1) My first 2 ferrets (MF female age 3 and MF male age 1) have been
   sneezing significantly more than normal.

2) I have been finding *very sporadically* green diahrrea and I can't tell
who's doing it - not the kit as I've caught her in the litter box.

3) There had been no other symptoms. All are active, alert, were sleeping
as much as normal and active as much as normal.

4) As of yesterday - my female is no longer sneezing like she was. She
   seems fine.

5) My male is not sneezing as much, but is now coughing quite a bit. He
also wants to sleep a lot more than normal. He's even been going to an
unusual place in the cage (maybe to escape the kit)..

6) All have been and continue to eat (dry TF for the adults) and drink as
normal. No dehydration in anyone so far.

I have a wonderful new cage with 4 full levels (only 3 are usable right
now). I have separated the male from the others so he can get the sleep he
seems to need.

Now the question: Is it possible that this is just the URI that they may
have caught from me? I know ECE has the green diarrhea, but I've heard
other things can cause that too. What other things? At this point, there
are no mouth ulcers or anything as far as I can tell.

If someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you,

Kim and The Terrrific Trio
