Nancy asked in issue 503:

Now, I have a question. When we reply to a mailing list should
we delete the Cc to [log in to unmask] Or, does it not
make any difference? I assume that it doesn't make a difference,
but I'll ask just in case.

It sends another copy of your article to [log in to unmask], which
will cause it to be bounced to [log in to unmask] So
there'll be two copies folded into the digest "in progress". Unless
I manually take it out, you'll see two in the next issue. Since I'll
be relying on autopilot now, it's particularly important.

Your mailer should *not* be doing this. We have spent some time trying
to assure that this doesn't happen. If you look at the headers,
you'll see that there is a "Reply-to: [log in to unmask]". This
is the only one your mailer should pick up on an "ordinary reply". Many
mailers have a "reply-to-all" - make sure you're not using that. If
you don't have this option (as in, all replies are "reply-to-all") or
your mailer is doing it regardless of which one you use, complain to your
SA - your mailer is busted. In the interim, please delete the CCs.

[It could be that your mailer is using *both* the From: and Reply-to:
addresses. This is broken behaviour.]
