Ferrets and Cats

I recently got an eight week old ferret and he loves to 'play' with our
three cats.  The problem is his play is their attack.  The largest of the
cats outweights Moose by almost 5 pounds and loves to play rough.  I'm
really worried the cats might hurt Moose, and vice-versa for the smaller
cats.  What can I do to help them get along better?
