I am totally upset by this whole matter!
 
First let it be known that Lars & I (Nadine) had nothing to do with sending
these ferrets to the US, nor do we even know this person Jason Shaw.  Our
first contact with him was through a breeder due to that the ferrets needed
homes because he was leaving the country.  We were asked to help!
 
I had no plans on brokering this guys out, I do believe that statement was a
little miss-stated.  Due to the fact we do not deal with any brokers!
 
My only intentions was to place these guys into one ferret wise home to
check on health and temperments, for the fact I didn't know what they have
gone through before hand.  Then after an evaluation period then to place
them into individual homes, hopefully in the same area as to where they were
sent for I didn't not want them to be traveling all over again.  We too lost
sleep for the fact of the ordeal they went through and also ruining a couple
of people's weekend.
 
It was also just brought to my attention that 7 more ferrets are in Oregon,
again we knew nothing of this and had nothing to do with putting them there.
 
I do though want the facts out in the open, these ferrets do not come from
the same stock that we deal with, nor have we seen what was sent to the US,
we can only go on the word.
 
At this point we can say no more Angora ferrets will be making their way to
the US, at least not for awhile.  It is also under careful consideration on
our part whether there will be anymore at all "at least not from us".  We
will not be held responsible for actions done by others.  Nor can we answer
for something we have not seen.
 
We will not be defending ourselves in this matter anymore from this point on.
