That makes three now.  Ollie my little 9 1/2 month old will do this as
well.  Ollie being my first ferret I thought that all ferrets did this
when excited.  To me Ollie using those front paws of his just like we use
our hands - to show feeling, expression & to hold on to things and pick
them up.
 
It's nice to know he's just that little bit more special.  He also wags
his tail when he gets excited!!!
