After all the publicity and the MI Dept of Healths insistence that Kodo must
be tested for rabies to insure a human life is not at risk the question
about falsifying the test results is a reasonable one and I'm sure it has
passed through many of our minds.  If Kodo's test returns positive that
means the gentleman that was bitten would need to be instructed to take the
post-exposure treatment.  If the result is reported falsely to CDC there
would be severe ramifications.
 
The actual testing of the brain would not be done by animal control, but by
a reputable state lab that routinely performs that service.
 
The result will be negative.
