I don't know what is best for your furkid, but I had one of my babies on
Lupron for about a year and a half before I had to help her cross the
bridge.  She did very well on it for quite a while, growing her lovely
coat back.  It is a decision that only you can make with the help of
your vet.  All the best to you and your fuzzy.
