Since Jojo is still young (3-4 years) then surgery would be a good option.
Since ADV may make the surgery a higher risk then Lupron would be a good
option. Both are good choices, and it is up to you and your vet to make
that tough decision. If it was my ferret, I would do adrenal surgery and
use pediapred for 5-7 days after the surgery and an antibiotic (amoxi
drops, or clavamox drops, or cefa drops, or Baytril) for 14 days after
the surgery.

Hope that helps,

Well, now. Normally my recommendation for a three to four year old ferret
with adrenal disease is going to be surgery, barring any other health
problems. ADV is a tricky complication, because it's immunosuppressive
and causes liver and kidney problems if it's active. That would of course
be a bar to surgery. If it's inactive, it won't affect the surgery itself,
but you have to wonder whether the stress of surgery and recovery will
activate the ADV. Personally, I'd probably go the Lupron route with this
little girl. JMO, of course.
