Hi; I have been getting this list for a while but this is my first time to
post. I have a 6 year old MF female who is the love of my life. For the
time being she is doing very well (knock on wood) but I had a general
question.

Specifically, do female ferrets suffer from urinary blockages like males
seem to? I know that, having no prostate, there is not a risk from the
prostate swelling. I am talking about other things like pus and mucous and
other maladies I have read about here. If they do, are they preceded by
any symptoms? My ferret had a bladder infection once and had some blood in
her urine, but we caught it quickly and an antibiotic took care of it right
away.

I would appreciate it if anyone has info about this; everytime I read one
of those "my ferret was blocked" posts I just crings; maybe it is because
my beloved cat died from that.

thanks!
