We had Tally operated on about 15 months ago to have insulinomic tumors
removed from her pancreas. She's had her good times and bad, but we've had
her on prednisone for 7 months. We've slowly been upping her dosage from
about 1/2 mg once per day to 3 1/2 mg per day total (in two different
dosages). We're concerned about the possible damage to her liver, not to
mention to her quality of life (it doesn't seem to work lately -- she's in a
terrible shape).

So, it looks like we're at the next step of putting her on diazoxide
(Proglycem). I'd appreciate any comments from other members on the list who
have had any experience with this medication, its success and any associated
side-affects. Thanx

Bobby, Jane and Tally
