I hope lots of you saw the "Beastmaster" series on TNT last night, because
there were 3 or 4 station breaks wherein Joe Bob Briggs talked with a ferret-
rescue woman who brought ferrets with her, including an 18-month-old, a
6-week-old and a tiny baby of 2 weeks.

During the first break,.the woman, (I think her name was Pam or Pat Israelson)
mentioned Ca-Ca Land laws, and Mr. Briggs said something like "Oh, I see,
ferrets are illegal because they eat dry cat food."

Since Mr. Briggs presents himself as quite an iconoclast regarding the movies
he hosts, I was worried he'd say something awful about ferrets, but in this
case he seemed to be on the side of the angels. It might be nice to thank
him.
