Just got this today in my email - I joined the Mammal Society many
years ago - after I left the UK and became interested in ferrets and
polecats. Its a small organization, but the UK is a small country -
compared to the US. They also have improved their website in the last
few years. http://www.mammal.org.uk/

One of the pictures when you go to their website is a mustelid - but I
think its a European mink - all dark face. But head looks a bit narrow.
Anyone know?

Mustelid Colloquium
The Mammal Society are pleased to be hosting the 29th European
Mustelid Colloquium on 3rd & 4th December 2011 at the Jurys Inn
Hotel in Southampton. We will shortly be issuing the first call
for papers and launching a dedicated web page.

In the meantime, you can register online. Prices start at [#UK] 45 for
both days. BTW forty five pounds translates to about seventy five
dollars.
