I have been trying to adopt a ferret for aprox. 1 month with no luck.  I
have been watching the FML since sept.6 and have replied to any & all who
post ferrets for adoption.  Some are broken links, some are no reply and
some reply unfavorably.  We have had ferrets for over 15yrs.  Our ferrets
are treated like children.  They have there own room complete with their
own private bath w/shower and a "flushable" ferret potty.  Our latest
loss was Stinklette who lived to almost 13 yrs old leaving her buddy
Stretch (3 yr old male).  Stretch was "rescued" from a couple of kids for
$40 who were draging him around hungry and thursty on a 96 deg. day.
Since the loss of Stinklette he seems depressed and lonely.  We have a
pet store within 3 miles of us that sells ferrets but I would rather
adopt one who needs a home.  If anyone in the southern Ind. area has
any please let me know.  Stretch really needs a friend soon.
