Many thanks for the cards received. In some cases we are not sure who sent
them and we apologize for that; it's just that we are not getting normal
amounts or patterns of sleep anytime when her health is iffy. Believe me,
they ARE appreciated, but we just don't always know which way is up.

This morning Meltdown finally began urinating on her normal schedule. We
don't know what had happened: the only thing which changed was her Pepto
being dropped, even the Amoxi was the same as had been since the bleeding,
and her bladder (which has great storage capacity) did not fill two days
ago or early yesterday till shortly before she urinated with a 9 and 1/2
hour dry span. In between she went a bit more on a normal schedule so we
were not as afraid yesterday. Her flesh seemed as if she maybe had a touch
of edema during it all. She behaved as though it was frustrating ( We'd
beg her, "Meltdown piddle." and she'd (sometimes) just move onto the paper
and try, then sigh, while other times she'd just sigh. ) perhaps more
frustrating because of our badgering, but otherwise she acted normally for
her condition in recent months, except that she seemed to sleep and shiver
(when awake) more than she has before.

We have set an appointment for the same day (tomorrow) her specialist
returns from the conference because even though kidney tests have not been
done to avoid stressing her it may be time to take the risk for her sake if
anything needs to be changed and can be changed given her other problems,
and we CERTAINLY need to know better what to watch for so that we don't make
any stupid errors which might accidently cause her to suffer. We aren't
nursing her and missing our sleep to go for records -- heck, it's not
possible anyway -- but to give her whatever mostly ENJOYABLE time she can
still have.

Tanya wrote that her's also love carnations and they try to eat them, so we
did what we expect she's already done and looked them up in poisoning books.
Happily they were NOT there. (If vets or others know any different, please,
post.) Meltdown SO loves hers; Troy Lynn sure knows her stuff! We
DEFINITELY recommend them smelling up the room (so beautifully!) for sick
ones to perk them up!!!!
