Thanks so much to everyone who responded to my plea for help two days ago
with my Yatzi who was grinding her teeth and not eating.

I learned something - never post in hysteria, because you're going to leave
something important out (as if there's any other way to post when your
little girl is so sick!)

I didn't mention four important things:
(1) she was already diagnosed with insulinoma last year and in fact had
surgery in November to remove some nodules from her pancreas, along with
both of her enlarged adrenals (thanks, Dr. Steininger!) and she had been
on pred prior - no episodes since then

(2) her stools are tarry and black (I didn't even realize that I had notice
this and I always inspect her poop - that info would have really helped my
vet!)

(3) her dad and I separated 4 months ago and she moved to a new home with
me (-----> stress), and

(4) she went on a lick-a-thon after her hair started growing back in again
2 months ago

Oh yeah, and she's at least 5 years old (not sure exactly)

For anyone else who might be experiencing anything at all similar, I went
in the awesome FML archives AFTER I posted (sorry!) and found out about
gastric ulcers and hairballs inside the stomach.

So Dr. G decided to lube her up and treat her for a possible ulcer with
meds and hope to God it's not a hairball, given her age and recent major
surgery. Again, I'm so sorry to waste everyone's time with such a vague
complaint, but thanks for listening :-) Major breakthrough today was
licking water off my hands on her own after 4 days of the dropper and two
whole spoonfuls of duck soup!

Thanks, Em
