I don't believe that Jean "solicited contributors throughout the nation".  I
believe that other people "solicited" based on conversations with Jean.  I
will also bet that the people that solicited on Jean's behalf did not know
that anything was possibly amis, including myself.
 
I gave donations to Jean on my own free will.  I do not regret that.  There
was no pressure from Jean or anyone connected to her to donate.  I saw the
donations in her house when I visited in December so I know they went to a
good use - for the ferrets.
 
I, for one, would like to see the outcome of any criminal investigation
before I pass judgment.
