Just wanted to thank you all for expressing your support and sharing
similar stories about non-ferret-knowledgeable relatives.  I see that this
is an opportuntity for education -- not necessarily to "convert" them to
ferrets -- but to break down negative misconceptions.  The difficult part
will be controlling the angry, defensive response that comes naturally...
 
In the meantime, I love my fuzzies more each day and consider them precious
members of me and my fiancee's little family.
