Occassionaly I use squeeky toys to play with my ferrets and this really
seems to excite them. I also sometimes attach something to the bottom of a
string and run around the room as they chase it, then I stop and watch them
jump at it. Well, what I have noticed is that sometimes one of my ferrets
will hiss at the object we are playing with. It usually happens when I hold
it up and she tries to get it. Does anyone know what reaction this so
called" hissing" signifies? Is it excitement, fear, or aggression? Or is
she just saying " Let me have it, it's mine!! " ?

Thanks,
T&T and "the kids"
