We are going to order a Ferret Nation cage. I'm aware of the serious
problems with ferrets and chinchillas breaking their legs in them due
to gaps (between ramps and cage?). I also know you can buy some sort of
ramp covers and things to prevent that. Of course if i can avoid having
to do that I'd like to. I sure don't want any more wash and work. Am i
remembering right in that some older models had worse problems? Do the
newer models still have issues? I need to know as soon as possible what
models to avoid and if i absolutely need covers.

I've always enjoyed the Marshall cages. They are extremely safe,
durable and easy to care for. But I'm sick and tired of battling the
odor problems. Like any other plastic, the pvc coating eventually gets
saturated with odors over the years and all the bleach and airing out
in the world doesnt help. I own bird cages made out of similar
materials as the FN cages and they are so easy to eipe clean.

Advise please?

Wolfy
