BH was not a ferret, but thought he was. He was 5 weeks old when he
came to live with us and Cinnamon, our 6 month old ferret, thought he was
the neatest playmate. At the time BH (a kitten, BTW) was smaller than
Cinnamon. He grew to be a big strong cat whose favorite wrestle mate
was still the ferret. He was named Big House because he had an M on his
forehead and we live near the University of Michigan (The Big House is
the stadium). We found him dead in the basement. The vet said it was
cardiomyopathy. We are all still looking over our shoulders expecting
to see him. He was only 1 year old.

At the time of his death we had already arranged to pick up an 8 month
old little ferret girl from owners who had taken very good care of her,
but just didn't think she was getting enough attention. They were a
young couple, but very sweet. So even in our sorrow, we picked her up.
It was a godsend for poor Cinnamon, who is still looking for his missing
best friend.

Sandee or Saraferret, please keep an eye out for BH. He will be
splitting his time between the cat area (where noone he knows is, but
please tell RT and Mickey to take care of him) and the ferret area, where
Mister knows him. We all miss him terribly and while we have lost older
animals we have never lost a young one. Tell him that Cinnamon misses
him and the other cats, Tommy and Missy are searching the house for him.

Thanks.
Jean
